About Us: David Fitzpatrick

(Updated 01.01.2020)

David Fitzpatrick (oboist) is the founding member and Executive Director of the Incidental Chamber Players, an ensemble focused on performing works that are unjustly forgotten or rarely heard in the chamber music repertoire. In April 2018, he performed Samuel Barber’s Canzonetta for oboe and string orchestra with the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra in Seattle, W.A.

As a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, David was the graduate assistant of Mrs. Cynthia Koledo DeAlmeida (Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra) where he received an Advanced Music Studies certificate and Masters of Music in Oboe Performance. He received his Bachelors in Arts at the University of California, Los Angeles and California State University, Long Beach where he studied with Dr. Jonathan Davis and Ms. Carolyn Hove (Los Angeles Philharmonic), respectively.

David practices and teaches yoga. He has been fortunate to teach over 900 yoga classes and meet many wonderful yogis along the way.
